1. German Baptist Church of the Brethren Marker
Inscription. This building was constructed in 1898 by the German Baptist Church of the Brethren to serve as a house of worship. It was originally located on the southwest corner of ? Street and Avenue A in Kearney. This congregation used this building until 1964. From 1968 until 1974 the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints used the building for worship. From 1974 to 1978, the Kearney Baptist Temple used the building for worship. The building sat empty for ten years until the Salvation Army purchased the ground and donated it to the Trails and Rails Museum of Buffalo County Historical Society in 1989.
