This historical marker is located on the western crest of Missionary Ridge, between Shallowford Road and the Turchin Reservation. Rock-faced sides; polished & inscribed front. "Illinois" is in large raised letters on beveled top. Marks unit's position on November 25, 1863, at 5:00 p.m."
