Marker is at the intersection of North Crest Road and Shallowford Road, on the left when traveling north on North Crest Road. Touch for map. This historical marker is situated on the western crest of Missionary Ridge, on the northwest corner of the intersection at Shallowford Road and located between the Ohio Reservation and the Turchin Reservation. More about this marker. According to the description information provided by the National Park Service, the marker is, “A simple rectangular slab of granite measuring 3' x 1' x 4'. The slanted tops carries a raised letter inscription. Marks unit's position at 5:00 p.m. on November 25, 1863"
