1. Eagle Tavern Marker
Inscription. Built in 1790s. Banquet for Lafayette held on February 27, 1825 when tavern was on its original site 900 feet northeast.
 
Erected 1977 by North Carolina Division of Archives and History. (Marker Number E-68.)

Silver, c. 1790-1810. Tradition states that this bowl was used to serve Lafayette during the banquet in his honor in 1825. Located inside the Eagle Tavern.
