Inscription. Here in 1630-31 a company from Plymouth, under Abraham Robinson, established a fishing station and built curing stages. For nearly two centuries and a half Annisquam was a fishing and ship-building center.

Erected 1930 by Massachusetts Bay Colony-Tercentenary Commission.
