1. San Pedro Gate Marker
Inscription. The original townsite of Anaheim was surrounded by a living fence of willow trees to keep out the livestock which roamed freely on the open range. This is the site of the gate that was opened to permit travel to and from San Pedro and Los Angeles.
 
Erected 1979 by Orange County Board of Supervisors - Orange County Historical Commission. (Marker Number 11.)
