1. Courreges Ranch Marker
Inscription. Homesite of Roch and Magdalena Mogari Courreges. Roch, a Basque sheep rancher, farmer and businessman, came to the area in 1878 and purchased "the Bluff" in 1896. He was a founder of the First National Bank of Huntington Beach, the Smeltzer Telephone Company, and the Farmer's Cannery.
 
Erected 1988 by Orange County Board of Supervisors and Orange County Historical Commission. (Marker Number 30.)
