1. Corinth Panorama — 1862 Marker
Inscription. This view of Corinth appeared in Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper, June 21, 1862, not long after the Union army captured the town. Despite some inaccuracies, it depicts a scene familiar to many thousands of troops from both armies.

The Tishomingo Hotel is partly hidden by the railway station on the right. Prominent in the center background is the Corinth House, a popular hotel. The row of commercial buildings on the left faces Cruise Street.
