1. Montgomery Bell Academy Marker
Inscription. Formally established in 1867 with a bequest of $20,000 by ironmaster Montgomery Bell, the roots of M.B.A. actually go back to 1785, with the University of Nashville, Cumberland College, and Davidson Academy. The boy's preparatory school has been here since 1915, when the Board of Trustees purchased Totomol, the estate of Garland Tinsley.
