1. Wash House 1754 Marker

Inscription. This is an interpretive reconstruction of the house used by the Brothers to wash their clothes. The spaces between the logs (the chinks) were not filled with daubing in order to facilitate the movement of fresh air.

"This afternoon we had a time of fellowship together, and because it was more pleasant ooutside the house, we went into our wash house for a while-it is open and has shade."
