1. Lights Out! Marker
This is the first in a series of 39 markers on the Fort Hancock Walking Tour.
Inscription.
The beacon on the Sandy Hook Lighthouse was extinguished on December 8, 1941, the day after the attack on Pearl Harbor. It remained dark until the end of World War II in 1945.
