Inscription.  Site of Skirmish between Hessian troops and Cambridge settlers. Several patriots were taken prisoners, Aug. 15, 1777
 
Erected 1932 by New York State Education Department.
 
Location. 42° 58.253′ N, 73° 22.64′ W. Marker is in Cambridge, New York, in Washington County. Marker is on New York State Route 22 just south of County Route 68, on the right when traveling north.
