Location. 35° 1.669′ N, 88° 47.833′ W. Marker is near Pocahontas, Tennessee, in Hardeman County. Memorial can be reached from Essary Springs Road, 1.1 miles south of Wolf Pen Road, on the left when traveling east. The monument is part of a small cemetery on the trail leading to the battlefield at the Hatchie River. There is a small parking area and interpretive signage at the start of the trail.
