1. Governor's Residence Marker

Inscription. Opposite is the present home of the Governor of Pennsylvania. Designed in the Georgian Revival style, it was completed in 1968 and is the third official executive residence in Harrisburg. "Keystone Hall," an earlier Governor's residence, located further south on Front Street, was razed in 1960 after 96 years of use.

Erected 2003 by Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.

3. Governor's Residence

This is a view from the Second Street side of the house, the main entrance for the residence. The State Entrance is in the wing to the left, not pictured. The cobblestone plaza in front of the house is impressive. The sculpture is called The Pennsylvania Worker, a bronze by William Francis Duffy (b. 1953). It was a gift of the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO and Affiliates, dedicated by Gov. Robert Casey in 1993.
