Inscription. The site now occupied by the Rogers Millwright Shop was once the home of Passaic Paper Mill. In this 1860's photo (looking north) the remains of the paper mill are on the extreme right. It was a stone mill built in 1837, and housed part of the Ivanhoe Paper Mill complex until 1857.
In the center of the photo are the truncated remains of the wooden flume that once channeled water to the mill.
