the life of
Zachariah Hawkins
Baptized at Charlestown, Mass.
Oct. 25, 1639.
Died and perhaps buried
in this churchyard
1699.
He was among early settlers
of Setauket, L.I. N.Y.
and a prominent citizen.
He was an original proprietor
of Brookhaven Town.
He was among early members
of Setauket Presbyterian Church.
He was a son of
Robert and Mary Hawkins
who emigrated from England
to Charlestown, Mass. In 1635.
