1. St. Patrick Catholic Church Marker
Inscription. Erected in 1890 and named for Ireland's patron saint, this Second Empire style church was built to serve South Nashville's growing Irish Catholic population. Until 1954, the Sisters of Mercy taught a grade school here. Since the 1890s, the Irish Travelers, a unique clan of American nomads, have come here periodically for weddings and funerals.
 
Erected 1993 by The Historical Commission of Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County. (Marker Number 91.)
