1. Swan's Chapel Marker
Inscription.
Swan's Chapel. Established 1905. In 1905 J.L. Swan donated this land for a school and a cemetery. In 1913 the school was moved down the road by the work of Herman and Emma Breland Lieb with Tom and Laura Rowland and many others. The Church of Christ bought the property. A tabernacle was built in the early 1920's. In later years a new church building was erected of rock. It was lost due to fire on January 25, 1997.
