The Prince Edward Island Memorial Fountain
Dedicated 18 September 2005
Honouring Prince Edward Islanders who have volunteered to serve their country and community in dangerous professions as Armed Forces members, police, peace officiers and firefighters.
Their willingness to sacrifice in the service of country and community, in the pursuit of peace and freedom, is acknowledged through this memorial. Those who paid the supreme sacrifice will not be forgotten.
Such service and sacrifice, in our past, continuing in the present and vital to the security of our future, is represented by the proffering of the torch. Be yours to hold it high”
