Inscription. Riverside High School Class of 1966. Riverside Park was a large part of his teenage years. Killed in action in Vietnam, January 10, 1969. Awarded the Silver Star and Bronze Star for gallantry in action. Bernie lost his life as a hero, defending the lives of those he considered friends.
