1. St. Peter Claver Catholic Church Marker
Inscription. Dedicated in 1892 and named for a 16th century saint who fought the slave trade, this was the first Roman Catholic church for Blacks in the city. It served as a Black community cultural center since the 1920's.
 
Erected 2005 by Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission.
