1. U.S. 105mm Howitzer M3 Marker

Inscription. With the emergence of airborne troops in 1941 came the need for an airborne howitzer. The M3 was created by shortening an existing 105mm howitzer barrel and mounting it on a modified 75mm carriage. The lightweight M3 proved to be an effective weapon within its limited range of 8295 yards.
