Welcome to The San Francisco Columbarium.

Built in 1898, the Columbarium is one of the last remaining cemeteries of the City and County of San Francisco. Owned and Operated since 1980 by the Neptune Society of Northern California

He died on July 2, 1908 and his ashes are in the Olympia Room, Tier 3, Niche 21-22. Captain Russell was a Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He was awarded the medal for action at Stone River TN on December 29, 1862.
