1. Confederate Cemetery Marker
Inscription. The Confederate Cemetery in Raymond contains the graves of 140 Confederate soldiers who were killed during the battle of Raymond on May 12, 1863, or who died as a result of their wounds. Most of the men were from Tennessee and Texas; many died in homes and public buildings that had been appropriated as temporary hospitals. Union dead from the battle of Raymond were initially buried here but later moved to the Vicksburg National Cemetery.
 
Erected 2009 by Mississippi Department of Archives and History.
