1. Long Creek Action Marker

Inscription. The earthworks in the angle between this stream and the North Anna River, held by a small Confederate force, were taken by Grant's troops moving southward on May 23, 1864. The Unionists then advanced to the river, on the south side of which was Lee's Army.

Erected 1931 by Conservation and Development Commission. (Marker Number E-24.)
