Inscription. Born as Oak Grove Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of the Rev. John Corbin in 1882, First Baptist Church Morrison moved to this site in 1933 and for over seven decades served faithful members of this community and offered a sacred place for prayer and worship.

This site is dedicated to the memory of all the members of the congregation of First Baptist Church Morrison and to the pastors that led this church from the Rev. John Corbin to the Rev. Dr. Marcellus Lee Harris, Jr.
