East Irondequoit in Monroe County, New York — The American Northeast (Mid-Atlantic)
On This Site - Over the Years
George Long Jr. (inset) loved Rochester and soon made the city his home. He bought the whole park in 1946 from the transit company and renamed it Dreamland for a time. Today, over half a century later, Long's grandchildren proudly carry on the task of operating the landmark amusement park - listed as the 4th oldest park in the country. The existing carousel was built by this fifth generation of the family, and keeps the "carousel tradition" alive.
Erected by Seabreeze.
