But in the Sixties, park owner George Long decided to "spice it up" and add more thrill. After visiting Disneyland in California and seeing its new Matterhorn coaster and unique tubular track configuration, Long set out to modernize his coaster with tubular track, banked curves and a new third level in the structure. In 1962, the Bobsleds coaster opened - and today is widely recognized as a one-of-a-kind classic among enthusiasts.
