Location. 34° 55.527′ N, 85° 15.621′ W. Marker is near Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, in Catoosa County. Marker is on Lafayette Road north of Poe Road, on the right when traveling south. This marker is located in the national park that preserves the site of the Chickamauga Battlefield, along the west side of the main roadway that runs north to south through the park. Touch for map.
