Inscription.
When Washington’s soldiers camped in Jockey Hollow, they occupied parts of blacksmith Joshua Guerin’s land. Parts of this house stood here then.

3. The Guerin House
This house includes portions that stood here during the 1779-80 encampment of the Continental Army. At that time, it was occupied by Joshua Guerin, a farmer and blacksmith of French Huguenot descent. Today, it serves as a residence for the park superintendent.
