Inscription. Swensrud School pupils wrote with chalk on walls painted black. No grading. Once selected books were completed to teacher's satisfaction, the pupil was considered graduated!
 
Erected 1996 by Worth County Sesquicentennial Commission and State Historical Society of Iowa.
