1. Commanding Officer's Quarters Marker

Caption: Major General and Mrs. T.W. Anderson, (far right) with family and friends relaxing on the porch of the newly constructed Quarters. General Anderson commanded Fort Bridger during the years 1883 - 1884.

Inscription. This structure was of frame construction and completed in 1884 during a period of extensive improvement at the Post. It supplanted the old log Commanding Officers Quarters which had been in use since 1850.
After the abandonment of Fort Bridger in 1890, the building was sold and move to a new location a short distance northeast.
The structure subsequently served as a hotel for several years.
