Este convento fue defendido por las tropas mexicanas hasta consumir el ultimo cartucho contra las norteamericanas el 20 de Agosto de 1847 – 1947

English translation:
This convent was defended by Mexican troops until they used their last cartridge of bullets as they fought against the North Americans on August 20, 1847 – 1947.
