Regarding Andrés Bello. Andrés de Jesús María y José Bello López (b. Caracas, Venezuela on November 29, 1781 – d. Santiago, Chile on October 15, 1865) was a South American humanist, diplomat, poet, legislator, philosopher, educator and philologist, whose political and literary works constitute an important part of Spanish American culture. He worked for 19 years (1810-1829) in London, England as representative of the revolutionary forces of Simón Bolívar, seeking diplomatic recognition and increased economic ties. He eventually returned to South America and moved to Chile, being instrumental in the establishment of their legal system.
