1. Main Street, 1921 Marker
Inscription. By a vote of 127-76, Walnut Creek residents chose to incorporate as a city in October 1914, largely to get Main Street paved. It took another seven years to secure the funds but, finally, Main Street was paved in 1921.
 
Erected by Walnut Creek Historical Society. (Marker Number 135.)
