American Revolution
In early summer of 1782 a force of 250 Senecas led by Sayengaraghta and accompanied by a few British military foresters and Indian Department officers passed along Chautauqua Lake and outlet on its way to attack Hannastown, PA. This was the only known organized military activity in Chautauqua County in the Revolutionary War.
 
Erected 1990 by Chautauqua County Sons of the American Revolution & City of Jamestown.

More about this marker. Marker is at McCrea Point Riverfront Recreation Area as are several others. Marker had been temporarily removed due to construction, and at the time of this posting on the HMdb, the marker is not seen on Google maps. Due to road construction and configuration, access to McCrea Point is from West 8th Street and the Fairmount Avenue bridge.

2. American Revolution Marker
Marker is by the boardwalk and boat launch in the McCrea Point Riverfront Recreation Area, between the cars in this view. At the time of this posting the marker and light standards were not seen on Google maps.
