Inscription. Fifteen miles southwest is historic “Pipe Springs” early pioneer outpost and first telegraph station in Arizona.
 
Erected 1933 by Utah Pioneer Trails and Landmarks Association, the Citizens of Kanab Stake. (Marker Number 29.)
