9th Indiana - Colonel Isaac C.B. Suman.
6th Kentucky - Major Richard T. Whitaker.
41st Ohio - Colonel Aquila Wiley.
124th Ohio- Major James B. Hampson.
1st Ohio Light Artillery, Battery F - Lieutenant Giles J. Cockerill.
The Brigade constructed log works on this line before daylight September 20, forming with the 23rd Kentucky of Grose's Brigade the right of Palmer's Division. The battery was formed on its left. The log works were so well constructed that only thirteen enlisted men were wounded behind them during the early assault of the Confederates. These attacks were severe until noon. About 3 o'clock the Brigade was withdrawn from this line and sent to Snodgrass Hill to the assistance of General Thomas.
