1. Laurel Railroad Depot Marker
Inscription.
Built by The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad in 1884, this "American Queen Anne" structure continues in daily use. The architect, Francis H. Baldwin, also designed the rear wing of the State House in Annapolis. The building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.
 
Erected 1982 by Laurel Historical Society, Justice Gabriel Duval Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, Brig. Gen. Rezin Beall Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the City of Laurel.

MARC trains stop at Laurel. The station is on the Camden Line. CSX freights also pass through here. This is on the CSX Capitol Subdivision.
