Royal Complex
N10-17 to 29
The “Royal Complex” comprises structures N10-17 through N10-29 which can be dated from the Middle Late Classic (700-800 CE) through the Late Postclassic Period (1000-1100 CE). Excavation of these structures revealed remnants of extensive decoration using painted, modelled stucco. The royal complex was used by the elite Maya for residential purposes.

Location. 17° 45.951′ N, 88° 39.156′ W. Marker is in Indian Church, Orange Walk. The marker is just north of the Royal Complex and Jaguar Temple, some 75 meters northwest of the visitors center at the Lamanai Archaeological Site. Touch for map.
