North Rock Beacon
1960
In 1912 a beacon was erected on North Rock as a warning to navigators and this has been rebuilt on two occasions in 1960 and 1990.
The lattice tower in the foundation is the 1960 beacon.
“Beacon the raging foam that draws upon the reef.
No man should mock, nor wild and treacherous wave
ignore the mean existence of North Rock.”
