1. Duncan House
Inscription. This outstanding c. 1910 Bungalow home incorporates many Arts & Crafts design elements including battered porch columns, 3-over-1 window sash, and a low pitched roof. It was built at the beginning of mini-building boom in Burlington that lasted through the 1920s and which resulted in the construction of numerous bungalow residents. The house was apparently built by or for James Duncan (1857-1912) and willed to his son John P. Duncan (1857-1936). At one time, the Duncan family owned most of corner lots at this intersection.
