1. Jackson's Crossing Marker
Inscription. Here at Locust Dale, Stonewall Jackson's army crossed the river moving north to the Battle of Cedar Mountain, August 9, 1862. The Battle was fought a few hours later.
 
Erected 1929 by Conservation & Development Commission. (Marker Number F-22.)
