Additional Description: This marker is next to the toll house. It can be seen on the left in Photograph 3. It reads: 1917–1919. In honor of those of Somerset County who served their nation and the cause of world liberty in The Great War, and in memory of those who made the supreme sacrifice. Erected by Great Crossings Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. November 11, 1924.
