Victoria Public Library, shortly after Hurricane Ike | Additional Description: The library building, as with many of the British Colonial-era structures in Cockburn Town, withstood the forces of 2008's Category 4 Hurricane Ike remarkably well. Newer buildings and homes on Grand Turk Island sustained often catastrophic damage. Fencing along the library grounds was toppled or carried off by the storm.
The Historic Marker can be seen on the front of the building in the lower right corner, partially hidden by the open door.
