Additional Description: He is best known by his pen name, Mark Twain. This bronze sculpture by Frederick Hibbard (1881–1950) has this inscription, “Samuel Langhorne Clemens, 1835—Mark Twain—1910. His religion was Humanity and a whole world mourned for him when he died. Erected by the State of Missouri, 1913.”

This statue is in Riverview Park.
