To the Memory
of
James Mattison, Senr.
who was born in the State
of Virginia,
the 20th August 1762
and departed this life
the 3rd July 1849,
Aged 86 years, 10 months
and 14 days.
And at the age of 14 years
he volunteered his service
as a soldier in the
Revolutionary War.
And for the last 20 years
he was a member
