Photo on Kolb Studio Marker
Photographer: William Fischer, Jr.
Taken: November 11, 2010
Caption: Photo on Kolb Studio Marker
Additional Description: [Caption reads] Kolb studio in 1915. The structure took 22 years to build. Beginning in 1904 the Kolbs built piece by piece until 1926. They chose this precarious site because they were refused permission to build elsewhere. They prevailed on Ralph Cameron to allow them to build here on land he controlled. In the photo, note Cameron's toll gate.
