Additional Description: [Caption reads] Twelve-pounder mountain howitzers served effectively at the Battles of Dry Wood Creek and the Marmaton River. The light guns were drawn by two mules or horses, and were highly maneuverable in rough terrain. (Shiloh Museum of Ozark History)
