Sacred
to the Memory of
Nancy Jane Donnald
Consort of
David L. Donnald
who departed this life
on the 24th of August 1849
Aged Twenty One Years.
If we believe that Jesus died
and rose again, Even so them also
Which sleep in Jesus
Will God bring with him.
----------
Oh! tell me not in that bright land,
Where spirits reign in boundless bliss,
We shall not meet the social land.
With which we mingled while in this.
It is not so. On Canaan's shore,
Where love and joy Eternal reign.
Where friend from friend shall part no more.
The pure in heart shall meet again.
